What are we talking about here?
Fat under your eyes is necessary for support. Sadly, as you age, the muscles around the area naturally weaken. The collagen and elastin in your skin starts to break down too.

1. External remedies

- You can use regular ice cubes too, but the caffeine and antioxidants in green tea really make a difference. Also try cucumber + lemon and chamomile ice cubes.
- Start your day with a much refreshing ice water face dip or a few good splashes of cold water from the tap onto your face. This will wake you up, increase blood circulation, and tighten your skin.
- Smoking is the number one enemy of a youthful skin. Just get on with it and stop smoking.
- Getting enough sleep (7-9 hours) is almost just as important if you want to eliminate fat pads under eyes.
- Wear sunglasses and use natural UV skin protection, such as jojoba oil, every day.
- Try sleeping with your head slightly more elevated with an extra pillow. If it’s not comfy, try lifting the whole upper body with pillows or bed risers. This keeps the fluids from coming up to your face.
- Practice face yoga. It’s a lot of fun, keeps your face muscles tight, and helps immensely with blood circulation.

- Cut back on salt as it causes water retention. Keep alcohol and caffeine intakes to the minimum. Say no to refined sugar, fried and highly processed foods. All they do is harm your overall health, destroy your natural collagen, and age you badly.
- Enrich your diet with foods that boost collagen production. These foods contain chlorophyll, vitamins A, C, E, amino acids, zinc, iron, and antioxidants.
